"My first training ground was the ocean — learning to infer what was happening in places with no ground truth, using data from oblique angles."
Background & Method
A PhD in marine environmental science at the University of Tokyo, then 50+ data science projects across HR, healthcare, aerospace, and natural science at a Tokyo think-tank. Each domain crossing reinforced the same instinct: find the signal first, then build.
That instinct began with satellite and meteorological data — reasoning about ocean conditions from indirect dimensions, with no direct measurement to validate against. It became the methodological foundation that I carry into every AI product challenge today.
Role Today
An end-to-end AI product innovator in the pharmaceutical industry, covering the full arc from data modeling to UI/UX design to executive communication — across four languages and three professional domains.
The rarest part of this combination is not any single capability, but the ability to hold all three simultaneously: data rigor at the model level, product judgment at the decision level, and design clarity at the communication level — without losing fidelity between them.
